Spring Transitioning Shoe Haul - Nine West
So Nine West was having a huge sale - buy one get one half off on top of all the discounts they were already having, so I couldn't resist picking up two more pairs of shoes to add to my collection.
I have been seeing these d'orsay flats everywhere, from Clothesencounters (love her!!), to other shops like Nordstrom. I have always loved pointy flats - I love how sharp they make an outfit and how they streamline the legs, and these flats are just a whole new level of pointy!
Unfortunately, I can't seem to find these on the website anymore, but I found a similar pair here.
The economic side of me thought I would buy a pair of boots for next winter.. even though it won't be for another year since spring just started (yay warm weather!). I was hesitating between these and another pair of black knee high boots, which had a quilted pattern in the back. Ultimately, I picked up these since I thought combat boots would be more timeless. It was a tough decision due to my love for anything quilted :(. You will not be forgotten!
Sadly, boots are pretty much not in season here anymore so it'll be hard find a similar pair, but just google "knee high combat boots", or hope for next season!

Shimmery Neutral Eyes - Wet n Wild Trios
So I finally got my hands on these - yay!! I've been telling myself that I don't need any more neutral eyeshadows since I really don't use them too much, and they all pretty much give the same effect anyways (not really!!), but I gave in after finding them for less than $2 each at Walgreens during my trip to the States. And can I just say that all the positive reviews from bloggers and vloggers everywhere are true, true, true??? I guess there isn't much else I can contribute to the hype, but say that they are honestly so creamy and pigmented for the amount of shimmer they also have (which also doesn't look cheap btw). Of course, they are so perfect for everyday neutral and smokey neutral eye looks.
Walking on Eggshells
Left to right: browbone, crease, eyelid
These shadows all seem to have the same creamy, sheen-like finish. The colours actually blend in really well with my skintone, so they are actually a lot more pigmented than they look here! The browbone colour is slightly more yellow toned while the eyelid colour is more pinky. I think the latter would make perfect inner eye corner highlights as well! The middle shade is a mid-toned brown that isn't too dark for everyday.
Unfortunately, these shadows crack quite easily - maybe because of the amount of pigment? Anyways, I dropped mine on a table and as you can see, the top shadow is missing a corner now.
Silent Treatment
Left to right: browbone, crease, eyelid
The first color is a shimmery pinky champagne colour, which is unfortunately not showing up as much here as it does in real life, I assure you! It is slightly more pinky than the eyelid colour from Walking on Eggshells. The middle shadow is a dark, cool-toned brown which seems to have a slightly different texture than the rest. The finish is less of a sheen but has more gold sparkles to it, but it's still no way from being chunky. The last colour is probably my favourite, and it perfectly demonstrates the amount of pigmentation that all the other colours also have!
Yay I can't wait to try them out and possibly do look on them!! I also just remembered that I have these in Cool as a Cucumber and I Got Good Jeans as well, except I don't use them a lot because of the bright colours. I might do a swatch & review of them soon though.

NOTD's: Feelin Neutral
Is it weird that I find painting my nails to be quite soothing and stress relieving?? Before my summer break began last week, it had been hell for me due to finals, and I kind of resorted to painting my nails on my study breaks. Anyways, I got this polish from OPI a few months ago for only $5!! I really like how its a unique blend of gold and gunmetal shimmer, and its super opaque for a shimmery polish.

I like Maybelline Color Show nail polishes for how cheap and opaque they are, and I love how Maybelline is always coming out with new sets of super pretty colours. However, for some reason this colour wasn't exactly what it looked like in the bottle for me? In the bottle, it looked more like a very neutral brownish taupe, but after awhile on my nails, it started turning more gray, even purplish as you can see here!

NOTD: Ice Queen
Amidst the coldness around here, I have really been turn towards glitter, shimmers etc. to liven things up a bit. I have been eyeing the Revlon Moon Candy nail polishes since forever, especially this one in satellite. Although the glitter chunks i'll admit are really sparse, and from experimenting I feel like I have already used up half a bottle, I guess will have to deal since I am totally in love with this glitter on glitter look *_*. The ice blue shimmery polish was bought from the dollar store quite a long time ago. Topped with a clear polish, you really can't tell!

NOTD: Gloomy Hearts
So I've been wanting to try out my new Revlon Expressionist nail polishes in Night & Degas for a while now, and decided to use the white end of the duo for this design. I've been seeing these kinds of designs all around, and its super easy and cute even for my noobish skills. Excuse the lumpiness!
